Calendar Events

The calendar is the heart of your events. It is a hub of information and communicates pertinent information to your readers.

Create an Event

  1. Hover on the section name “Events” in the sidebar, and click “Add New”.
  1. You will see a page with the spaces to fill in your essential event information. Add your event title, this is what people will see as the name of your event.
  1. Click on the date and time, and a calendar will appear. Select your date by clicking on it on the calendar. If your date is far into the future, you can use the arrows or drop down menus on the month and year. Select your times at the bottom. If your event is over multiple days, click the “Multi-Day” slider at the bottom and select your dates and times.
  1. In the field below the date, enter the pertinent information about the event. You can add agendas for meetings, important information for visitors, and so on.
  1. Enter the location of the event. Type the location’s name, and the field will prompt you to create its location. Click the location’s name and enter the street address, city, state, and ZIP. Click off the field to save the information. In the future, type the first few letters of the location, and you can click to select it.
  1. Select your Event Category. This will help keep your events organized in the future. If you need a new category, click the “Add New Event Category”, type the new category name, then click the “Add New Event Category” button.
  1. If desired, add a featured image to the event. In the right sidebar, find the “Featured Image” section, and click on “Set featured image” and select it from the media library or your computer.
  1. Click “Publish” in the toolbar to publish your event on the website.

Create an RSVP

  1. Start an event as usual, by adding a title, description, location, and event category. Scroll down the page and find the RSVP section and click on the RSVP block to open the fields.
  1. Enter the RSVP title, description and the RSVP Capacity. You can enable “Not Going” responses if needed.
  1. Click the “Advanced Options” to set the time the RSVP is valid. This is helpful to close RSVPs before the event time for planning purposes.
  1. Click “Create RSVP” to create RSVP.
  2. In the toolbar, click “Update” to save changes.

View/Edit RSVPs

  1. On the “Events” page, hover over the chosen event in the event list, and click on “Attendees”.
  2. You will see a list of all the RSVPs for that event.

Create a Ticketed Event

  1. Start an event as usual, by adding a title, description, location, and event category. In the “Price” field, enter the price of your ticket.
  1. Scroll down the page and find the Ticket section and click on the Ticket block to open the fields. If you have more than one ticket available on your website, enter a Ticket SKU to assist with telling the tickets apart.
  1. Enter the Ticket title, description and the Ticket Capacity (if applicable). Click on “Advanced Options” to set dates tickets are available for sale.
  1. Click “Create Ticket”.
  2. In the toolbar, click “Update” to save changes.

View ticket sales

  1. On the “Events” page, hover over the chosen event in the event list, and click on “Attendees” or “PayPal Orders”.
  1. The attendees list is same as the RSVP Attendee list. The “PayPal Orders”, shows income on purchases.
